The tournament on Eagle Mountain Lake proved to be a true test of patience and perseverance for our anglers. It was a tough day of fishing, with most boats managing to find bites but struggling to bring in legal weigh fish. Despite the conditions, every team gave it their all — from the fishermen casting line after line to the boat captains guiding them through changing winds and water.

While the scales may not have been heavy, the heart, effort, and sportsmanship on display spoke volumes. Tough days like these remind us that success in fishing, much like in life, isn’t always measured by what’s caught, but by the lessons learned and the perseverance shown.

Special congratulations go out to our anglers who brought fish to the scales:

 Bond and Smith - 2 fish @ 6.54 lbs

Venable and Price – 1 fish @ 3.73 lbs

Lane Deeds and Eli Parker – 1 fish @ 3.35 lbs

 Deese and Cupps – 1 fish @ 2.58 lbs

 Bledsoe and Roddy – 1 fish @ 1.76 lbs

Biondi and Smith had an excellent showing, finishing 15th overall with a total weight of 6.54 lbs. Their performance helped Mansfield climb in the overall standings.

As a team, Mansfield ISD finished 8th overall with a combined total of 13.62 lbs. Tournament scoring is based on the top three team weights from each district club, making this a strong finish on a challenging lake.

Great job to all our anglers and captains for representing MISD Bass Club with dedication, perseverance, and class. The next one’s right around the corner — and we’ll be ready!
